10km Jos Road Race gets Dec 16 date

Plans have been concluded to host the maiden edition of the 10km Jos Road Race, tagged ‘We Run Jos’.

The race which is billed for the 16th of December 2017 is jointly organized by the Plateau state government and Versatella Innovative Concept.

Mr. Onuh Adah the head of marketing at Versatella Innovative Concept, said there will be mouth-watering prizes for men and women who excel during the one-day race.

Onuh, who disclosed that 466 participants will be rewarded during the marathon event, named the prizes as N1million for first position, N750,000 for second position, N500,000 for third position and N100,000 for the 4th-13th placed winners in the male category; while winners in the female category will pocket N1 million for first position, N750,000 for second position, N500,000 for third position, while the 4th-13th will pocket N100,000 each, 14th-33rd will take home N50,000 each, while 14th-23rd will milk N10,000 each.

Mr. Onuh said all Nigerians were free to participate in the yearly event.

FG TO Scrap FRSC, Christian Pilgrims Commission, Hajj Commission, 4 Others May 2,2020 The Federal Government has considered scrapping seven (7) major government agencies, following President Muhammadu Buhari’s decision to consider the recommendations of Stephen Oransaye-led report on “Restructuring and Rationalisation of the Federal Government’s Parastatals, Commissions and Agencies”. These agencies are: Fiscal Responsibility Commission, National Poverty Eradication Programme, Utilities Charges Commission (UCC), National Economic Intelligence Committee, Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
