 FG / ITF signs MOU to train 23,000 youths  November 30,2020 By Golok Nanmwa ,Jos  Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development and the Industrial Training Fund ITF on Monday  signed a memorandum of understanding MOU for skills training and empowerment of Nigerian Youth in the 36 States of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory FCT in 21 Trade areas. The trade areas of collaboration to  includes Agro- Allied, catering (Hospitality), Autotonics, Welding, Masonry, Carpentry, Plumbing, Tiling/POP, Painting, Electrical Installation, Information and Communication Technology,  Facilities Management Technology and Electrical Electronics Technology PLC among others. This is sequel to a request for collaboration from the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development and the Industrial Training Fund  to go into collaboration to organize a Youth Skills Develoment and Enterpreneurship Programme (YOSDEP).  Northern Governors Forum condemns  killing of Borno farmers  November 29,2020 By Golok Nanmwa ,Jos  Northern Governors Forum on Sunday said  it is appalled by the killing of rice farmers in Zabarmari, Borno State by Boko Haram insurgents. In a statement, Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Plateau State Simon  Lalong signed by Simon Macham his director of press and public affairs  said the entire country is deeply saddened over the killing of the innocent rice farmers who committed no crime, except to go to the farm to earn their living. He said the tragic incident is a great setback to the efforts of Nigeria to attain domestic sufficiency in rice production as well as food security. He said the Forum has consistently worked with the Federal Government, security agencies and local support groups to ensure that farmers are protected in order to enable them carry out farming activities.  Lalong said despite this condemnable act, the Forum will not relent in its support to security age

 STF parades 33  suspected cultis t ,criminals in Jos November 27,2020 In furtherance of operation Safe Haven Determination to rid the plateau of cultists,armed robbers and kidnappers,has continued to raid criminal and Cultists Hideouts.A total of 33 suspects including cultists,cult activities financiers and other criminals were arrested. They were arrested from Terminus market,Rwang Pam street,Rochas building ,Ahmadu Bello Way and Angwan Rukuba In Jos North LGA. In the same vain,At about 11.30 pm on 26th November,2020, Own troops engaged a gang of Arm robbers along road Anguldi- Maraban Jamaa In Jos South LGA. One of the armed robbers was neutralized while others fled with gunshot wounds.A Locally fabricated pistol and some quantities of ammunition were recovered from the arm robbers.Operation safe Haven is resolute in ensuring that armed robbers, cultists and kidnappers have no hiding place on the Plateau. We shall continue to hunt them so as to have a peaceful  Yuletide season. All
