BREAKING NEWS:I never signed not stamped any letter of resignation - Hon Abok Nuhu Ayuba

18th November, 2021.

It is no news that the House of assembly was vandalized some days ago and the imposture and self acclaimed speaker with government approval moved a resolution to move the house sittings into the government house

This must-have been part of their efforts and clandestine plans to access the letter headed papers of my office and get someone who could doctor my signature to make it appear as if i did resign

I never authored that document

The purported impeachment was said to be 28/20/21

Even after that Day I have responded to their press statement ... I couldn't have still been fighting.

Why will i then be writing resignation after that time

Again, that was the same day i entered the house to make a video to the whole world... Why will it be on that same day that I will do such writing

There Is an ongoing suit with my loyal members... I would have carried them along if any such decision was made.

The plateau people have alot of confidence in me. I couldn't sale their birth right for anything

The fight on this is a plateau fight... Bigger than me and the 12 of us …so we are committed to fight to the last and to victory to democracy and plateau

I cannot do a letter and put a signature and stamp of received again.

Letter not addressed to anyone in particular .. l would have addressed and typed it nicely and cannot be seen fighting the still.

If they had the letter as at 1st or 2nd November 2021 why bring it out on 18/11/2021? They would have been happy to produce it as early as possible

They crafted doing this forgery as a distraction plan for the plateau people

So did they impeach me or did I resign?

If they said they impeached me as 28/10/21 why will i need to resign? Resign from what?

So.. what they are working with now... Is it a resignation or purported impeachment?

The two cannot work hand in hand or together at all

They have not been able to plan well to do this mischief

If their schemers were smart enough, they would have planned better for them.. and not make them look confused and like fools in this whole prank and childish display of foolishness

PLATEAU STATE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL REJOICES WITH FIRST LADY REGINA LALONG ON HER BIRTHDAY

The Plateau State Executive Council has expressed warm felicitations to the First Lady of Plateau State, Her Excellency, Mrs. Regina Simon Bako Lalong on the occasion of her birthday.

The Council rejoices with the Mother of the State for marking another year, describing the occasion as an auspicious one that calls for Thanksgiving to God for his faithfulness in her life and her family.

It particularly expressed delight that the First Lady has over the years devoted her life to the service of humanity by focussing on the welfare and wellbeing of women, children and the vulnerable.

Using her non-governmental organisation, SWITCH Foundation, the First Lady has trained and empowered thousands of women and youths, including the girl child. This has reduced poverty, provided social education and emancipated them from some negative societal practices that impinge on their rights.

Her Excellency has also offered assistance to many indigent girls by sponsoring their education and also ensuring that they choose career paths that will give them a brighter future and make them good citizens of Plateau State and Nigeria as a whole.

The First Lady's passion for fight against drug and substance abuse among youths has similarly received tremendous accolades as she has done so much to support relevant government agencies through her foundation to discourage access, abuse and distribution of drugs in Plateau State, Northern Nigeria and the entire country. She has also made afforts at ensuring the rehabilitation of those under the influence of harmful substances.

Apart from her role as the Public Relations Officer of the Northern Governors Wives Forum, the Plateau State Government is also appreciative of Her Excellency's support to the Executive Governor who has been holding forth at the family front and giving moral and spiritual backing to her husband to continue with the Rescue Mission and taking Plateau State to greater heights.

The Exco wishes her a joyous celebration and prays that God will give her many more years of good health, peace and divine protection.

SPEAKER  RT HON. YAKUBU SANDA PRESIDES OVER PLENARY AS HOUSE LAMENTS DESTRUCTION AT ASSEMBLY COMPLEX; SEEKS ALTERNATIVE FACILITY AND IMMEDIATE REPAIRS OF COMPLEX.

Plateau State House of Assembly has condemned the destruction that occured in the house following the recent upheavals in the Assembly, leading to vandalization of many items that has made the House facilities, particularly the hallowed chambers unsuitable for legislative business.

To this end, the House has passed a resolution seeking to move its legislative business to the Chambers of the Old Government House, pending the repairs of the damaged and vandalised facilities in its hallowed Chamber.

This followed a resolution arising from a motion moved by Majority Leader Hon. Naanlong Daniel seeking the intervention of the Governor to provide an alternative facility for their legislative business and also facilitate the repairs of various parts of the Assembly complex which were destroyed by hoodlums recently. The motion was unanimously supported by members.

At the House sitting which was presided over by the Speaker Rt. Hon. Yakubu Sanda on Friday 12th November 2021, the Honourable members lamented the unfortunate developments that occured after the change of leadership where hoodlums gained access to the house including the hallowed chambers and caused serious damages.

The House which was billed to begin deliberations on the 2022 Appropriation Bill and the request for confirmation of the extension of appointment of Chairman and Members of the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission, PLASIEC, had to stand down the items on the Order Paper because of the deplorable nature of the chambers.

Speaker Rt. Hon. Yakubu Sanda assured that the House will soon regain stability as the events of the recent past are under control and the new leadership of the House under him is doing everything possible to ensure that lost ground is regained and the business of law making and oversight for the good of the Plateau people is carried out seamlessly.

Before adjourning, the House appreciated the support of the good people of Plateau State who have remained calm and prayed for the quick resolution of the recent upheavals in the House, assuring that they will always act in the interest of the people at all times.

RELEASE RESPONSE TO A TEXT BRIEFING HELD AT FOURTEEN UNIT OLD GOVERNMENT HOUSE ON 11th NOVEMBER, 2021 BY HON. NA'ANLONG DANIEL GAPYIL, MEMBER OF PLATEAU STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY

Issued on 12th November, 2021

Protocol

Constitution – Section 92(2c) (c) if he is removed from office by a resolution of House of Assembly by the votes of not less than two-third majority of the members of the House

Our emphasis – Votes of not less than two-third majority. Resolution for removal of presiding officers in Plateau State House of Assembly shall be by sixteen Honourable Members during plenary.

Standing Orders of Plateau House of Assembly, 2021- Order 7 Rule 14 (biii) - Where the resolution of the House is that the allegation be investigated, an ad-hoc Committee comprising Members of all the political parties represented in the House shall be constituted to investigate the allegation.

7 Rule 14 (biv) – The Committee so constituted, shall request the holder of the office under investigation to respond in writing and such response shall form part of the Report of the Committee.

3.    CFRN, 1999 As altered

4.    Fund Management Law

5.    Relevant Votes and proceedings

6.    Minutes of Funds Management Committee meeting

7.    Hansard

We the undersigned wonder why Hon. Naanlong Daniel Gapyil struggles to explain due process for removal of presiding officers in State Houses of Assembly as enshrined in Section 92(2c) of the 1999 CFRN as altered. We want the general public to be aware that Hon. Naanlong Daniel Gapyil was privileged to undergo series of intensive Legislative trainings on House Rules and procedures of Legislative Business who was the custodian of House Rules and Business because of his Former position as Rules, Business, Inter Governmental and Inter Parliamentary Committee.

Beloved Press Team and public, from this attached video, you can conduct simple investigation on the number of people that conducted the purported and botched impeachment of Rt. Hon. Abok Nuhu Ayuba on 28th October, 2021. This evidence-based video is enough to clarify the issue of numbers and procedures for removal of presiding officers. We still condemn this coup on the Plateau and Bad Legislative practice.

It could be recalled that Hon. Naanlong Daniel Gapyil moved a motion of vote of confidence on Rt. Hon. Abok Nuhu Ayuba in December, 2019 and July, 2021. We deemed it fit to let the general public know that if there were dictatorial tendencies, gross incompetence, financial mismanagement and other false allegations as raised by Mr. Naanlong Gapyil then he wouldn’t have moved these votes of confidence. We wish to also inform the public that it was Hon. Naanlong Gapyil that moved a motion for the House to go for one month recess from August to September, 2021 after passing a vote of confidence on Mr. Speaker in the plenary before the recess.

Let’s put the record straight that Plateau State House of Assembly Fund Management Law provided that the fund Management Committee sits quarterly, we still wonder why Hon. Naanlong and cohorts have not raised allegations on financial misappropriation for the past quarters that the Committee has met. We want to add that the Committee held it last meeting in August, 2021 and Hon. Naanlong Daniel Gapyil was a in attendance as Member of the Committee. Note: The Fund Management Committee replaced the Finance and General Purpose Committee (F&GPC)

We shall hold Hon. Naanlong Gapyil responsible to explain the issue of fake mace in PLHA in connection to their failed impeachment that took place 0600hrs on 28th October, 2021 with a borrowed mace from LGA. We are determined to protect PLHA.

We want to give the general public notice that there is a calculated attempt to vandalize PLHA by some paid hoodlums with the intention to use it as an excuse to provide another venue for plenary that cannot be accessibly by twelve of us. The illegal Speaker under the influence of Governme

Forum of former Plateau APC Legislators declare support for speaker Rt hon Yakubu Sanda

By Golok Nanmwa, Jos

Former House of Assembly Members of the ruling party in Plateau State have thrown their weight behind Rt. Hon. Yakubu Sanda who they said is the authentic Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly.

In a statement  made available to newsmen in Jos , and signed by the  Chairman of the Forum, Hon. Banahel Andong and Secretary, Hon. Abu Nimmyel, the group disclosed that it became imperative to lend their voice as stakeholders in the “Plateau Project” as well as the House of Assembly having watched keenly unfolding event and deemed it fit to make their position obvious.

The statement reads that “We unequivocally want to reiterate our openness and support for the New leadership in the House of Assembly under Rt. Hon. Yakubu Yakson Sanda, as Speaker”

“The Forum views the election of Rt. Hon. Yakubu Sanda as a product of divine ordination which manifestation is unveiled to men in a fashion designed by the most High” the group said.

They said as Parliamentarian, they are familiar with the House Rules and constitutional provision stating that the said impeachment was done in line with the constitutional requirement of Section 92 (C) CFRN 1999 (As amended).

The forum said it confirmed that on 28th October 2021, 17 out of the 24 Members signed for the impeachment of Rt. Hon. Ayuba Abok.

According to the Forum, it is misleading and unfounded that only Eight (8) Members signed the impeachment of Rt. Hon. Ayuba Abok and went further to explain that it is in line with the House rules that eight Members can form a Quorum for plenary and every decision taken is binding. It stressed that over eight Members were present at the plenary on the date of impeachment.

The forum called on anyone who is not satisfied with the house decision to challenge same in a Court of Law instead of inciting the people to disrupt the hard earned peace in Plateau State.

The Forum disclosed that enemies within and outside the State are exposing themselves urging them to stop inciting as well as presenting misleading information that are denting the image and integrity of the State Legislature.

They admonished Sen. Jonah Jang, Sen. Bukola Saraki, Sen. Istifanus Gyang and Lagos State House of Assembly to in the spirit of Parliamentarians ensure they always crosscheck the facts correctly before delving into conclusion and asked why the PDP in Plateau State is crying more than the bereaved, a situation the group said expose a hidden agenda.

They harped on the need for people to verify and investigate sources of their information before drawing conclusion based on sentiments.

The forum promised to continue to give their supports to Rt. Hon. Yakubu Sanda disclosing that his choice is a product of extraordinary competence anchored on his versatile skills to lead the House effectively.

They lauded Gov. Lalong for his commitment in driving the process of peace and economic development in the State and for being the first to grant financial autonomy to the Legislature in the Country.

The pledged their loyalty and support to the APC leadership in the State calling on the citizens to in the best interest of the State put aside political, religious, tribal and ethnic difference and continue to pray for peace, unity and development of the State.
