Combating insecurity on the Plateau a collective effort - Gov Simon Lalong

Plateau State Governor, Simon Bako Lalong was today represented by the deputy Governor in recieving a Six man team from the National Defence College, who underwent strategic studies on peace in the Plateau.

The team which dwelled on a study tour of Plateau State in its quest to further tackle issues of insecurity in the country, Appropriated peaceful co-existence as a collective effort.

The Governor gave his commendation when he received on courtesy call Course 30 Participants of the National Defence College, Abuja. 

The Governor who was ably represented by the Deputy Governor, Professor Sonni Tyoden, noted that the theme "Combating Insecurity in the State: The whole of Society Approach to Enhancing Human Security” is apt, stressing that Plateau has had some set-backs occasioned by Security challenges, but government has however worked assiduously to ensure that those challenges do not deter the administration from making the necessary impact on the lives of Plateau citizens.

The Acting Provost, Centre for Stategic Research and Studies, Julie Sanda, who led other Participants on the study tour, stressed that the National Defence College is the highest Military Training Institution in Nigeria with the mandate of preparing senior military officers and their counterparts from Ministries, Departments and Agencies to take up strategic levels of functions which reflects the whole government approach in a wholistic approach to peaceful co-existence.
