Gov Lalong clinches Plateau South APC Senate ticket

By Golok Nanmwa, Jos Plateau State Governor Simon  Lalong has clinched the APC ticket to run  for Plateau South Senatorial District Seat in the 2023 general elections.  At the primary elections held in Shendam, the Zonal Headquarters of the Senatorial District, the delegates unanimously elected the Governor who was unopposed as the standard bearer of the APC. As the sole candidate, the Governor was elected through affirmation. Zonal Chairman of the APC in Plateau Southern Senatorial Zone, Alhaji Musa Abdullahi Nyalum said members of the party in the zone resolved to give Governor Lalong their mandate to represent them in the Red Chambers because of his experience and performance as Governor of the State.  Chairman of the election panel from the APC National Headquarters Rt. CHILDREN'S DAY 2022: Plateau Good Samaritan Simdul Vincent, Celebrates Birthday with Orphan Children

May 27 2022 It was all love for kids of Clapai orphanage, in Kangang, Jos, as friends and family of Mr Simdul Vincent celebrated his birthday/children's day with the the orphanage kids. Donations were made which included food items such as cartons of noodles, bag of rice, cooking oil, Soup, amongst others. They kids had fun with games, lovely songs as the celebrated the young philanthropist, wishing him more greater days with good health and more wealth. Mr Simdul was welcomed by staff and management of the orphanage has the shared there ordeals and challenges of running the orphanage. In his response, he promised to make the visit a more frequent one and hopes to continue lending a helping hand in anyway possible as he is able. High points of the visit was a group photograph by Simdul, friends and family, the kids were very overwhelmed.

May 27 2022 A chieftwin of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Plateau State and an aspirant in the just concluded gubernatorial primary elections, Dr Golu Timothy has called on all his supporters to remain focused to deliver all the party's candidates in  the coming general elections. Menstrual Hygiene - Plateau State medical women association distributes Pads, Sensitise Girls

By Golok Nanmwa, Jos  As part of efforts to improve menstrual hygiene among girls and women in Plateau, the  Medical Women's Association of Nigeria,  Plateau State chapter on Thursday distributed sanitary pads to girls in several schools in Jos South local government council of the state. Over 500 sanitary pads were distributed to girls from the secondary schools visited by the Female Doctors. The President of the Association, Dr Bwatyum Anna Gyang,stressed that the sanitary pad  was provided free for girls in order to promote and improve menstrual hygiene across the  community and schools. She advised girls and women to practice personal hygiene during menstruation. She said, "Menstruation means every month the female body releases eggs and the lining of the uterus becomes thick. By Pwol Benjamin Dature, Jos May 27 2022 Dr. Nentanwe Yilwatda has been declared winner of the just concluded All Progressive Congress (APC) Primary Election held at Langsfield, Rayfield Jos on Friday having scored 803 votes to beat three other aspirants.  According to the Chairman of the electoral Committee, Hon. Habu Ajiya Nine Aspirants were in the race but five Aspirants later sent their letters of withdrawal from the contest. They are; Sunday Garba Biggs, Dr. Sarpiya Danyaro, Sen. Hezekiah Dimka, Dr. Patrick Dakum and Arch. Fitka. According to Ajiya, Four of the Aspirants participated in the election and they are, Garba Pwul SAN, Prof. Sunny Tyoden, Dr. Nentanwe Yilwatda and  Hon. Victor David Dimka. May 19 2022 Dr Patrick Dakum a Public Health expert has won the APC Online opinion poll conducted by the Plateau Progressive Youth Network (PPYN) Group. The online poll lasted for four (4) Days and saw Dr. Dakum polling 16,718 votes of the 36,244 total votes representing 46.1% to come top followed by Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda who scored 14,953 votes (41.3%), Mr. Sunday Biggs pulled 2,274 votes (6.3%), Prof. Sonni Tyoden secured 1,929 votes representing 5.3% and others. GOVERNOR LALONG APPROVES CREATION OF CHIEFDOMS/DISTRICT

Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong has approved the creation of 268 Districts and Village Areas as well as 2 Chiefdoms. He also restored 3 others (2nd Class) as well as approved the grading of 5 others on 3rd Class Status. The details released by the Secretary to the Government of the State Prof. Danladi Atu indicate that the newly created Chiefdoms are Lamba Chiefdom in Wase Local Government (3rd class) and Menkaat Chiefdom in Shendam Local Government (3rd class). Those restored are: Da-Gwom Rwei, Barkin Ladi LGA (2nd class); Da-Gwom Rwei (Gyel) Jos South LGA (2nd class); and Da-Gwom Rwei (Riyom) Riyom LGA (2nd class). PLATEAU 2023: Dr Nentawe Yilwatda attends screening: Cleared to contest the forthcoming APC gubernatorial primaries

15.05.2022 Plateau State leading gubernatorial aspirant of the APC and leader of the Generation Next Movement, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, has this Sunday afternoon been screened and given the go ahead to contest in the forthcoming Primaries of the party.
