Gov Lalong recieves staff audit report

Vows to remove questionable civil servants ,inject new ones  By Golok Nanmwa ,Jos  Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong  on Friday said  his administration will not tolerate civil servants with questionable records and those who have falsified their data to remain in service or secure placement and promotions they dont deserve.  A statement signed by Macham Makut reads that Governor Lalong was speaking at the Government House Rayfield Jos while recieving the report of the High Powered Committee on Staff Audit and Verification that was saddled with the task of auditing the State Civil Service.  Governor Lalong said the Committee was necessitated by the desire of Government to address some of the challenges that constituted barriers to service delivery, professionalism, accountability and transparency.  He said "among other things, Government was worried that despite the number of people exiting from the Service as a result of deaths, retirements, transfers, withdrawals etc., the Sta

KIDNAPPING SYNDICATE NEUTRALIZED IN PLATEAU BY OPERATION SAFE HAVEN TROOPS

Troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN acting on credible intelligence have bursted and neutralised a notorious Gang of kidnap syndicate on the plateau. The syndicate has been on the watchlist of Operation SAFE HAVEN and believed to have masterminded the recent  kidnap incidences on the Plateau. The syndicate is also believed to have participated in the Jos prison jail break on 28 November 2021. The syndicate met its waterloo when troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN tracked them to Gyero general area where they plan and carry out their nefarious activities. The kidnappers on sighting the troops opened fire. Our troops responded with superior fire power resulting in neutralisation of 3 notorious kidnappers.  Items recovered from the syndicate includes, one AK-47 Rifle, 2 AK-47 rifle magazines, 101 live rounds of 7. 62mm ammunition and one tricycle (Keke Napep). Lalong lauds security agencies for turning the heat on kidnappers in Plateau

By Golok Nanmwa, Jos  Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong on Thursday  commended security personnel in the State for rising up to occasion and thwarting the attempts by kidnappers to create fear among citizens.  Governor Lalong in a message signed by Macham Makut ,his director of press and public affairs said he was glad that the swift response of the security forces to distress calls of kidnap incidents led to the dislocation of their operations leading to rescue of some victims and arrest of suspects.  Lalong cited the rescue of the Gwom Rwey of Vwang District, Da Gyang Gutt Balak shortly after he was kidnapped and the arrest of some suspects as a good development that is worth sustaining.  A similar situation had also happened when three students of the Plateau State Polytechnic Barkin Ladi where rescued shortly after being kidnapped from the school in Heipang.  The wife of the Deputy Chief of Staff and a Medical Doctor among others were also rescued by security forces after being k

Speaking while addressing some of his supporters in Jos ,Babayo Gagdi described the Monarch as his father whom he is so proud of and that he would never disrespect him Gagdi said I have spoken and apologised to our Royal father and he described me as his son. In his words, "Yesterday I was with our Royal father in Kabwir and I spoke with our Royal father and he tapped me on my shoulder and said this is my beloved son." "I am human and I am bound to make mistakes." He said he would always continue to put the interest of his people first at all times . Plateau  State Governor and Chairman, Northern Governors Forum, Simon Bako Lalong has decried the upsurge of attacks on traditional rulers in Nigeria saying it is an attempt by criminals to intimidate them agaunst exposing crimes within their domains in order to totally subdue the entire population.  Governor Lalong who was speaking at the annual Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation Lecture in Kano, said it was very worrisome to see that traditional rulers have become victims of kidnappings, murders and other violent attacks by criminals simply because they stand against their activities or mobilise their subjects to reject them.  Lalong who was the Chairman of the event said this development portends danger as the criminals seek to dominate the environment and dictate the affairs of society through criminality. ASTC&M Delves into Dairy, Rice farming, trains over 4000 Farmers

Services Training Centre and Marketing (ASTC&M Ltd) Limited has in recent times made giant strides having trained over 4000 Plateau farmers in modern and better farming methods that have paid off in many ways. UPDATE ON THE RESCUE OF PARAMOUNT RULER OF VWANG

Recall that the Paramount ruler of Vwang His Royaln Highness, Da Gyang Gutt Balak was abducted on Sunday 16 January 2022. Immediately the incidence was reported, the commander Operation SAFE HAVEN Major General Ibrahim Ali placed the troops of Sector 6 deployed at Riyom on red alert and to embark on hot trail of the perpetrators. Consequently, the troops in conjuction with other security agencies, Vigilante group and Hunters conducted clearance operations  in the mountenious region of Sabon Gida Kanal, Gero and Dahol general area. Two suspects were arrested at an abandoned building during the operation. This development led to the release of the paramount ruler by his abductors. He has been united with his family. Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong has commiserated with the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, Rev. Yakubu Pam over the passing unto glory of his beloved mother, late Ngo Zimi Pam.  Governor Lalong described the late Ngo Zimi Pam as a devout Christian and a community leader who invested so much in raising her children and others despite so many challenges she encountered in life.  He said the death of the matriarch of the Pam family is a huge loss to her immediate Tahei Village of Gyel District, Jos South Local Government and Plateau State as a whole.  Lalong while asking the family to bear the loss and accept the will of God, said Ngo Zimi died at a ripe age leaving behind great legacies that will continue to speak for her in many years to come.  The Governor challenged her children, both biological and other ones she raised, to ensure that they carry on with the lessons of love, humility, hardwork and tolerance which she demonstrated and taught.
